Job details:
We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the following vacancy in our company:
Job Title: Operator – Fire Enginer/ Tender
Age: 30 years and above
Reporting to Fire Officer

Duties:

• Checking the fire engine/fire tender on daily basis for engine oil level, radiator, water, battery, tyres, all the gauges, wiper, side mirrors etc. for the proper functioning as per the standard daily check list and to maintain them in good order.
  
• Checking the fire pump, valves, gauges and all other accessories for the proper functioning of daily basis and to maintain them in good order.
  
• Maintaining operational readiness and resources by identifying and reporting all faults in/on the fire engine to fire officer.
  
• Driving emergency fire engine safely as per scheduled trips.
  
• Performing skilled fire fighting and in rescue work with the fire engine in combating, extinguishing and preventing fires.
  
• Adhering to the company safety, health and environment policies while carrying out your duties.

Qualifications:

• Applicants should be holders Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), with a valid driver‘s license free of any endorsement with the relevant class CH, with a Certificate in fire fighting/first aid.
  Experience
• Applicants should have a Minimum of at least five (5) years Practical driving experience.

Remuneration

• Attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicants for the post.
