JOB DETAILS:
Main Purpose of the Job:
To manage, coordinate TAF (AIC) fleet and directly supervise Drivers.

• Security of TAF (AIC) fleet ensured
• TAF (AIC) fleet in a good working condition maintained
• TAF (AIC) fleet effectively allocated and utilized
• Fuel usage well managed
• Fleet records maintained
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide technical input in the development of TAF (AIC) fleet management policy, guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures
• Inspect vehicles and ensure that they are safe and road worthy
• Put in place measures to ensure safety of vehicles and their accessories
• Guarantee that vehicles are insured
• Maintain a centralized fleet maintenance database
• Assist in maintaining a record of fleet movements
• Check for road worthiness of vehicle before use
• Make follow-ups on vehicle repairs and servicing, to ensure that they are done as required
• Make regular checks on Drivers’ permits, vehicle insurance and other vehicle requirements
• Make arrangements for vehicles to be licensed as required by law
• Process requests for repair and service works
• Provide support supervision to Drivers
• Allocation of drivers to vehicles and journeys
• Appraise senior drivers and drivers at Headquarters
• Arrange for the provision of logistical support to drivers
• Make follow-ups on logistical support for drivers
• Reconcile fuel consumption
• Liaise with fuel suppliers and Centers to ensure timely payment of fuel supplies 19. Follow up requests for repair and service works and ensure payment is made accordingly
• Maintain and Update the Fleet Management System.
• Provide technical advice to management on issues relating to fleet
• Prepare periodic reports on the transport function and submit them to the Senior administrative Officer
• Participate and give input in the making of periodic reports
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Fleet Management Supervisor
Minimum Academic Qualifications
• Diploma in Motor Vehicle Engineering
Required Experience and Skills
• 5 years as a Driver and practicing
• Training in fleet management and Defensive Driving
• Driving skills and possession of a valid Driving Permit with relevant classes
• Traffic laws and rules
• Knowledge of Highway Code
• Computer Knowledge
• Vehicle Mechanics
Key Skills
• Supervisory skills
• Interpersonal relations skills
• Basic report making skills
• Maintenance Management skills
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: Associate Degree
