JOB DETAILS:
Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Uganda is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Fuel Clerk/Laborer in the General Services Office/Motor Pool Section.

The work schedule for this position is:

• Full Time, 45 hours per week

Start date:
Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) following receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Supervisory Position: No

Duties:
• The incumbent serves as the gas station attendant and fuel clerk.
• Maintaining accurate records of all fuel issues and deliveries.
• Serving as the data entry clerk for all fuel issues and deliveries.
• Performs manual laborer duties.
• Cleans and washes government vehicles.

Qualifications and Evaluations
EDUCATION:
• Completion of secondary school (both O and A’ Level) is required.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
• At least two years of experience working in the fuel distribution/handling field is required.

Evaluations:
• (This may be tested)

LANGUAGE:
• English; Limited knowledge; written & spoken

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Good customer service skills.
• The ability to operate a Public Service vehicle (fuel tanker truck). Computer, data entry and numerical skills.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• The ability to perform arduous physical work is required.
