JOB DETAILS:
IBS Africa a subsidiary of Impax Business Solutions Kenya is an Information Systems Consultancy firm based in Kampala – Uganda. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Functional Specialist. The position holder will work as a Microsoft functional expert in project implementation and user support.

Responsibilities
• Provide expertise in Microsoft Dynamics application functions.
• Provide in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics application and evaluates the customer’s business processes against the standard Microsoft Dynamics functionality.
• Responsible for documenting the business requirements which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected.
• When necessary, collaborates with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current and future state business processes.
• Collaborate, manage and lead meetings with functional/technical consultants and client/end-users.
• Supports the Microsoft Dynamics application to achieve the customer’s business requirements.
• Facilitate the customer’s decision-making process and develops the functional design document that will drive the development process (if modifications/customizations are required, either to processes or to the Microsoft Dynamics application).
• Responsible for conducting user acceptance testing and train customer resources to successfully use and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics application.
• Production support as required
• Provide assistance in responding to tenders and assist in doing demo presentation.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned to you by the Management

Academic qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree (Computer Science/Information Technology/BCOM -Finance).
• A relevant professional qualification Microsoft certifications and Project Management is an added advantage.
• A relevant certification in a core functional area of the product they deal with such as (Finance/BI/Microsoft Dynamics 365).

Experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Microsoft Dynamics Solutions.

Knowledge
• Possess excellent industry knowledge, System implementation methodologies, testing, training, system configuration, foundation level skills in customization and system support skills.
• Fully understands Microsoft Sure Step or Success by Design Framework/Methodology
• Logical/Analytical mind-set, understands change management and appreciates technology (bridge between business and technical teams)
