JOB OPPORTUNITY
TETRA TECH International Services http://www.tetratechintdev.com is recruiting highly qualified candidates for the USAID-funded Uganda Sanitation for Health Activity(USHA). The project works to increase household access to sanitation and water services and improve health through hygiene behaviour change campaigns in homes, schools and health facilities in up to 25 districts in Uganda. The ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity and gender are essential requirements. • Social qualitative research methods Use of STATA or other statistical software
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English


Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, business, governance or another related field. (Master's degree preferred
• 5-7 years' experience working on gender and youth issues in Uganda Understanding of gender and youth issues in Uganda as demonstrated from professional experience and/or social research
• Experience working or consulting with USAID programs in the areas of gender or youth inclusion is an asset Execute the USHA gender and youth strategy by, including both female and male engagement approaches in Implementation as guided by the gender action plan with the guidance of the Gender
• Analysis Integration Matrix, (GAIM) action plan, explore inclusion of approaches to maximize both gender and youth empowerment and USHA project results such as monitoring and mitigating gender-based violence within the project context, and/or economic empowerment approaches for women and youth.


Job Education: Bachelor's degree in social sciences
