About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client EACOP, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced General Accountant to work in Kampala.
Reports to: Chief Accountant Direct subordinates (number): n.a.

MISSIONS / JOB DIMENSIONS
The General Accountant is based in Kampala. EACOP Ltd is a company registered in UK, domiciled in Uganda with an establishment in TZ; there are 4 shareholders, TotalEnergies, CNOOC, TPDC and UNOC. It is to build and operate a 1442 km, 4G$ oil pipeline from Hoima (UG) to Tanga (TZ)

ACTIVITIES
1. Participate in the monthly, quarterly, annual closures in liaison with the Chief Accountant: o ensure accurate and timely closure of the accounts on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis o post monthly accruals from Cost Control o post re-allocation of FX difference, re-valuation of bank accounts and third parties
2. Follow proper recording of operations (P&L, BS) in particular in relation with Loans & Deposits, expenses recorded in advance, down/advance payments
3. Assist the Chief Accountant during external audits(statutory and financial, fiscal, shareholders, national authorities)
4. Prepare under Chief Accountant supervision financial and internal control reporting
5. Issue Debit Notes, follow-up on payments.
6. Assist the Tax Manager with tax compliance subjects

Context and environment
Company and Finance Team operating both in Uganda and Tanzania.

Accountabilities
1. Accuracy and reliability of balance sheet accounts
2. Manage smooth and timely closure


Qualifications/Experience required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor in Accounting, Finance or Business administration – ACCA Level
2. Knowledge of Workday, SAP or similar ERP, Microsoft Office Suite Experience
3. Minimum 3 years experience in General Accounting
4. Prior experience in an “Big Four” audit firm

Abilities:
1. Organizational, team spirit and interpersonal skills
2. Excellent level in English (spoken & written); Swahili is a plus
