JOB DETAILS:
Emmaus Foundation Trust is a distinguished non- profit/charitable Trust that was founded by Rev. Fr. Giovanni Scalabrini and is duly registered in Uganda. Its mission is to transform communities through health, education and imparting of Catholic values. The Registered Trustees are seeking a distinguished professional with experience in management and governance matters to fill the position of General Manager to support the Registered Trustees in implementation of the Trust goals in fulfilling the vision envisaged by Rev. Fr Ciovanni Scalabrini. This position attracts very competitive terms for the ideal candidate.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operational activities that are under the Trust and its affiliates. The General Manager will report directly to the Trustees.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Financial Leadership: Develop and manage the Trust's budget, ensuring sound financial practices and growth strategies
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Trustees to set strategic goals and advance the mission of the Trust.
• Compliance Excellence: Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders.
• Stewardship of Assets: Manage, conserve, and maintain our valuable property holdings, ensuring their sustainability for future generations. Administrative Excellence: Establish, maintain, and monitor effective administrative policies, systems, and complaints procedures in accordance
• with best practices.
• Trust Representation: Act as the official representative of Emmaus Foundation Trust to its associated entities and other stakeholders including sitting on the boards of some of the affiliates
• Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Trustees. Staff Development: Ensure effective performance management and development of all staff through regular supervision sessions and the appraisal process.
QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, one should have:
• An Honors Degree in Education, Business Administration, Development Studies, Psychology. Human Resource Management, Leadership or a related field from a recognized university/ institution.
• Postgraduate training in business administration, accounting, financial management, or a related field from a recognized institution (an added advantage).
DETAILS OF EXPERIENCE
• 5 years of managerial or above-level experience in a reputable charity or NCO.

Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
