JOB DETAILS:
Role Purpose:
The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for providing overall business strategic
leadership and execution to achieve sustainable growth and profitability of the company. The GM will also be responsible as well as accountable for all operations and functions of
the business working closely with the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team. Role Details Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Business Strategy Implementation: 30%
• Provide overall leadership and vision in developing and implementing sustainable long-term growth strategies for the business
• Lead on the strategic direction of the business with a strong focus on cross-functional
• operations and departments, networking across internal and external stakeholders
• Advise the Board on business plans, operational issues and lead the implementation of Board decisions
• Analyse and benchmark the Company’s performance in the market to develop areas of improvement, grow its customer base, increase revenue and achieve sustainable profitability
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies/trends and industry best practices that will enable the company deliver innovative products and quality services to its customers
Financial Performance: 30%
• Develop and manage the organization's budget, financial plans, and forecasts
• Monitor financial performance, analyze financial statements, and take corrective actions as necessary
• Identify cost-saving measures and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency
• Explore revenue generation opportunities and oversee pricing strategies
• Manage financial risks and ensure financial stability
Manage Partnerships: 20%
• Be the key representative of the company in communicating important decisions to
• Managing/Leading: Senior Managers/ Department Heads business stakeholders and the public
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the market;
• including regulators, government agencies, business partners and key security
• institutions
• Ensure that the Company’s operations comply with regulatory requirements, internal
• policies and risk management guidelines
Team Leadership and Management: 20%
• Serve as a main resource for senior managers in the Company’s key departments
• Develop and supervise a high performing team while maintaining an optimal people
• structure
• Adjust important procedures and policies by collaborating with HR and assessing
• current industry trends
• Ensure that the company’s culture, values and standards are upheld and that the
• company’s employees are motivated, engaged and productive
• Ensure proper implementation of the company's policies and relevant procedures

Qualification, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications/education
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
• from a recognized institution
• A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
• from a recognized institution will be an added advantage. Minimum experience
• At least 15 years of progressive leadership roles in business operations, with at least 5
• years at a senior management level • Expert understanding of corporate finance and business process functions (Risk
• Management, Procurement, Operations, HR etc.)
• Experience in developing and executing growth strategies
• Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements in
• Uganda
Required Skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

• Strong analytical skills
• Proven success as a senior manager leading departmental or cross functional teams
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Collaboration skills for establishing positive working relationships
