Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team in Kampala. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in creating visually compelling graphics that meet our clients’ commercial and promotional needs. You will report directly to the CEO and work in a hybrid environment that fosters collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, team-oriented, and possess a continuous learner mindset, allowing you to thrive in our fast-paced atmosphere.

Location/Work Arrangement: Hybrid, Kampala
Reporting Structure: Reports to CEO

Key Responsibilities
• Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.
• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Key information into computer equipment to create layouts for clients or supervisors.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Use computer software to generate new images.
• Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork using computers.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
• Education: Post-secondary diploma in Industrial Art or other related fields.
• Experience: 2-3 years in a similar role.
• Required Skills: Active Learning, Reading Comprehension, Complex Problem Solving, Time Management, Monitoring.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Canva, Figma, CorelDRAW, and CAD software.
• Language Proficiency: English.

Preferred Qualifications
• Preferred Duties: Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
• Prepare digital files for printing.
• Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design.
• Research the target audience of projects.

Preferred Skills: Writing, Persuasion, Negotiation.
Preferred Knowledge Areas: Sales and Marketing, Administration and Management.
