About Mercy Corps:
Mercy Corps implements high-quality, analytical development work in very difficult places. We have been operating in Uganda since 2006 and currently implement development programs in the Acholi, West Nile and Karamoja sub-regions of Uganda with funding from USAID, EC, SDC, and USDA.
Essential Job Functions:
HR Database
• Responsible for the development and updating of trackers including but not limited, HR data tracker, Leave tracker, etc.
• Providing support for entries in HCM and ensuring that it is always up to date
• Managing the HR data and providing information for the HR reports.
Recruitment
• Provide Support to the HRO on recruitment documentation.
POLICY
• Ensure code of conduct course compliance through follow-up and reminders to staff.
Accountability
• REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Human Resource Officer
• WORKS DIRECTLY WITH: HR Director, Senior Talent Acquisition Officer, Senior Roving HR Officer, Field Administration Officers, Programs, Operations, and Finance Teams

Knowledge and experience:
• 1-2 years plus experience in this similar HR support role.
• Bachelor’s degrees in Human Resource, Business Administration, or any related discipline in people function.
• A post-graduate qualification in Human resources, Organizational Psychology, or any related discipline would be an added advantage
• A high degree of organizational skills using computer-based tools/software with demonstrated attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate frequently and effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Willing to travel upcountry on a monthly basis to support the HR function at the field level.
• Proven ability to conduct him/ herself professionally under pressure.
• Previous experience as a full/part-time staff with Mercy Corps and demonstrated knowledge of Mercy Corps systems, procedures, and program priorities is an advantage.
