JOB DETAILS:
Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital has received funding from USAID to implement a Government to Government project aimed at; i)Piloting the concept of Regional Referral Hospitals as centers o excellence in HIV services delivery, ii] promoting learning and adaptation to inform successful scale up of the pilot.
The specific outcomes expected are: Improved availability and quality of HIV services, strengthened systems to improve sustainability and accountability, and Collaborating, Learning and adapting throughout the life cycle of the project to support its success and any follow-on programming.
Mbarara RR Hospital therefore urgently seeks to recruit energetic, dynamic and young individuals to fill the following vacancy.
Position HIV/AIDS Services Coordinator

Reports to CLINICAL HEAD
Responsible for M & E Statistician .

Qualifications
• Candidates must have a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree.
• The ideal candidates should hold a masters degree in a Public Health, Health Services research, epidemiology or any other related field.
• Must be fully registered with Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners council.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience (3 in clinical management of HIWAIDS plus 3 in HIV AIDS programminsg.
• Experience in managing or coordinating USAID or donor funded projects.
• Knowledge of USAID, PEPFAR work-planning cycle and necessary documents that accompany Budgets and work plans and reporting cycle and templates
• Ability to deliver under tight Schedules

Duties and responsibilities
• Actively participate in work-planning and budgeting activities for the project.
• Take lead in organizing Quarterly review meetings for hospital performance.
• Writing reports and submitting them to the Project Manager for onward transmission to top management and partners.
• Respond to request for information from top management and USAID on progress of the project milestones
• Coordinate the implementation of planned activities and interventions according to the workplan.
• Actively participate in periodic meetings with implementing teams to review progress of activities.
• Take stock of challenges encountered by implementing teams and lead the generation of interventions to overcome the identified challenges.
• Furnish the head of the clinic, project manager and administration with progress reports of the planned activities.
• Be the minute secretary to the Project Coordination Team
• The ideal candidates should be between the age of 32-40
