Job summary
The HIV/TB Technical Officer holds the responsibility of planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring project activities, encompassing TB/HIV, Pediatric/Adolescent HIV care & treatment and NCD integration services as well as AHD/VL/DSDM/Community Pharmacy activities. This role includes providing technical support, oversight, and applying Quality Improvement (QI) principles to enhance the services in these areas.
Responsibilities and duties
• Provide technical support to facilities for effective implementation of TB/HIV, AHD/VL/DSDM/Community Pharmacy activities.
• Lead mentorship and training efforts to build the capacity of facility teams to deliver high-quality TB and HIV/AIDS care services
• Collaborate with facility teams to help achieve key TB/HIV, AHD/VL/DSDM/Community Pharmacy targets.
• Coordinate and support all project areas related to TB/HIV, AHD/VL/DSDM/Community Pharmacy activities.
• Provide technical support to facilities for effective implementation of Paediatric/Adolescent/NCD integration
• Develop and implement monthly and quarterly work plans, ensuring the successful implementation of planned activities.
• Work with community-based teams to generate progress reports for internal and external sharing, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and a Masters degree in Public Health or related field is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 2 years working experience in TB/HIV, Paed/Adolescent/NCD care and program work
• Excellent technical writing, data collection, analysis, reporting skills; oral and written communication skills
