JOB DETAILS:
Title. HR Officer
Location: Work from home
Role Purpose:
The role holder will be expected to work in HR department in day today HR activities and tasks i.e. Recruitment, induction/on-boarding, record maintenance, staff learning and development, reporting and exit process.

Key Areas Of Accountability :
Recruitment/New Hire Process
• Participating in recruitment efforts
• Coordinating prospective candidates, calling them for interviews
• Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications
• Scheduling job interviews and assisting in the interview process
• Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
• Preparing new employee files and keep updating all employee’s files
• Orienting new employees setting up workstation, email address, etc.)
• Serving as a point person for all new employee questions
• Participating in benefits tasks, such as health claim resolutions, reconciling and approving invoices for payment
• Supporting team in induction process for new starters
• Record Maintenance
• Maintaining current HR files and databases.
• Updating and maintaining HRIS, employee benefits, employment status, and similar records
• Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
• Updating personnel files, as per checklist
• Scanning all HR files and documents for data archiving.
• Organize archival records and develop classification systems to facilitate access to archival materials.
• Be accessible and respond to staff/manager enquiries in a timely manner
• Develop standard induction packs (and checklists) containing key documents for all new staff to maintain a Live tracker.

• Update monthly effort reporting.
• Update the HR Tracker on daily basis.
• Any other duty assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
Master’s degree or BA, preferably in Human Resource Management.

Experience and skills
Essential: 2-3 years of total experience and having minimum 1 year of relevant Humanitarian sector experience**

Individuals must be able to demonstrate a number of competencies that are essential to the position, which include:
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally
• Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
