Our mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene ( ASH) in the world’s poorest communities. WaterAid works through supporting local organizations and government authorities to design‘ and demonstrate appropriate and sustainable WA programmes. Water id also seeks to influence policy change through government and other key sector actors to secure an protect the rights of poor people to safe, affordable water and sanitation services.
The position will manage teams and report to the specific Units, based in Kampala,

HEAD WASH FOR WEALTH
Purpose of Job:

• Lead on sector analysis and development of content for the country strategy paper, defining the sector strengthening agenda for the country strategy.
  
• Increase the profile ot WaterAid ganda positively contribute to accelerating universal access via shaping sector systems and practice.

Principal Responsibilities: Analytical leadership and communication, technical support and oversight, networking and partnerships, monitoring and reporting.

Head Institutional Strengthening will:

• Lead the development, implementation and documentation of institutional strengthening methodologies and approaches
  
• Proactively engage in sector discussions, build and Maintain relationships with key sector ministries, institutions, and other stakeholders
  
• Ensure that WASH service delivery follows the core Value of equity and inclusion through mainstreaming equity in the projects implemented

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Masters in Development Studies, Public Health, WASH, or other related discipline.
  
• 8 years’ experience with tive years at senior level in the developing sector.
  
• Experience in public sector institutional support and/or reform
  
• Excellent report writing& communication skills
  
• Desirable experience in business development within Private sector
  
• Experience in solid/ liquid waste or other utilities Management
