JOB DETAILS:
JOB SUMMARY
To coordinate the implementation of transmission projects plans to meet the future demand in line with Company strategic objectives

KEY RESULT AREAS
• Advise the Chief Technical Officer on the strategy for th efficient and effective delivery of Projects
• Timely delivery of Projects, within budget and as per specifications set by the project owner
• Communication including Projects stakeholders engagement and handling of related disputes etc.
• Reporting on project progress, including but not limited to project risks nd recommended mitigation measures, accountability etc.
• Effective and efficient management of Project resources, including but not limited to the development of customized claims verification and processing procedures and related quality assurance measures.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and laws, Development Partners Procedures, etc. in as for as project implementation is concerned.
• Lead and supervise the Project Implementation Team, including but not limited to mentoring and coaching.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

THE PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
• A master’s degree in Electrical engineering, Power System Engineering or relevant field from a recognised institution.
• A bachelor’s degree with honours in Electrical engineering or relevant field from a recognised institution.
• Must possess Post Graduate Qualification in Project Planning/Management or Management and a certification in project management.
• Registration with the Engineers Registration Board and a member of an engineering professional body.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an electrical engineering related field with at least 3 years at a senior level.
• Significant experience in Project Management. Must demonstrate competence in the workings of in multi-lateral financing institutions, Procurement Guidelines, contract Management.
• Knowledge of projects accounts and handling Projects Meetings.
• Familiarity with the electricity sector is an added advantage.
• Proven good management and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills, and knowledge of application of related project management software.
• Can demonstrate a background of personal and strategic leadership.
• Highly motivated, innovative and committed team player.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND REMUNERATION
The holder of this position will be offered a contract subject to the Ministry of Public Service Guidelines on the rationalization Exercise of Government Institutions.
