We are looking for qualified and experienced results oriented individuals to fill the following position:

Post: Head of Business Management
Reports to: Managing Director/ CEO

Job Purpose:
To provide leadership in the management of the Bank's business functions covering Corporate and Personal Banking relationships. Manage and grow bank assets and liabilities, network and establish the framework for cross selling of financial products and services to existing and new customers through the Bank's channels with a view to improving share of wallet for the Bank.

Key Result Areas:

• Management and growth of the Bank's Personal and Corporate business in terms of customer numbers, target markets, product offering, revenue generation and cost management.
• Working with the team to achieve sales & service through in-branch -business development activities (Business planning and growth (deposits and lending) as well as customer growth and retention, effective Banking Hall management and providing feedback to the team.
• Provide leadership, which results in a conducive working environment; creates employee learning, growth and job satisfaction; and achieves resource retention.
• Ensure the adequacy of resources to support the business and appropriate staff competencies to effectively drive business strategies and objectives.
• Provision of quality and value-added solutions to meet the current and emerging needs of existing and new Personal and Corporate customer base.
• Develop and implement structures and systems (policies, processes, procedures and tools) that facilitate achievement of strategies and objectives; engender compliance with requirements; optimize resource utilization; and better operational cost management.
• Responsible for overall risk management for the business incorporating credit, operations and portfolio risk. Monitor and manage Service KPIs and quality assurance indicators for the business.
•  Monitor and evaluate staff performance.
• Oversee the New Business Ventures Unit (Supervise the unit manager).

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent in a Business related area.
•  Professional qualifications in Banking, Finance and Accounting is an added advantage.
• 10 years’ experience in Banking with at least 4 years in a senior business development role within the financial services industry, involving management of customer relationships.
