Pride offers innovative financial solutions to largely people at the base of the economic pyramid and serves its customers through 37 networked branches and 7 contact offices spread across the country. Pride implements sustainability sound practices throughout its business operations to create a positive impact through three sustainability pillars; economic, environment, and social as well as contributing to the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) and their investable sub-goals that relate to microfinance activities.
Pride Microfinance Ltd would like to fill the following vacant position in preparation to transform into a Tier II Credit Institution.

Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The Head of Business will lead the development and execution of Pride business growth strategy and offer leadership to business development and delivery teams. He/she will also hold accountability for the performance of all product lines, customer acquisition and retention for the achievement of the growth targets in line with the business plan through ensuring effective management of customer relationships. He/she will also be responsible for driving revenue generation, expanding market share, and enhancing Pride’s overall competitiveness.
Responsibilities:
1. Business performance and revenue growth
• Provide leadership in overall growth and profitability to improve liabilities and asset growth and for different segments, SME, Micro finance, agribusiness, institutional and personal banking.
• Initiate and collaborate with channels, products and functional teams to identify and develop product solutions to meet customer needs for optimal build-up of revenue and commercialization of the new products.
• Coordinate the development and review of the annual department work plan in line with the projected business growth and take accountability for the achievement of set targets.
• Collaborate and coordinate with the development and implementation of sales initiatives with business development and marketing and branches etc.
2. Internal business processes.
• Work in collaboration with the manager distribution channels to define and improve service delivery standards and targets at all the branches and the alternative delivery channels.
• Ensure effective department structures and systems policies and procedures for optimal efficiency.
• Coordinate with risk, credit and operations to ensure that the operational policies and procedures are robust and balanced for risk and business growth.
Qualifications
• A master’s degree in commerce, accounting, business management, or any business-related field.
• Post graduate training in leadership and/or business management
• Industry specific training e.g., in risk management, compliance etc.
• Membership of professional banking body is an added advantage.
Details of experience
• The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years’ work experience, five of which should be in a similar position at a senior management level in a supervised financial institution.
• A versatile individual with significant headroom and prior experience in various facets of management (Strategic planning, Business development, Operations delivery, etc.)
• Demonstrable record of effectively leading large teams of people and track record of effective performance management.
• Proven track record in growing business.
