JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
Responsible for the lubrication, operation, and minor maintenance of various heavy-duty equipment used in our workshop.

Roles and responsibilities
• Operate workshop equipment including crane, crane truck, forklift, telehandler, grinder, compressor, tire machine, and welding machine to disassemble, assemble, and repair heavy machinery.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on equipment.
• Adhere to work safety policies and regulations, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and demonstrate proactive work habits.
• Respond promptly to emergencies as required.
• Apply mechanical, lubrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical (DC) knowledge to perform tasks effectively.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on heavy-duty equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and overhaul equipment as needed.
• Utilize various measuring instruments such as hydraulic gauges, pneumatic gauges, calipers, micrometers, measuring tape, and multimeters for precise measurements.
• Execute corrective and emergency repairs promptly.
• Read and interpret hydraulic diagrams, maintenance manuals, assembly/disassembly manuals, operation manuals, and parts manuals.
• Generate written reports (work orders) detailing tasks performed.
• Service and maintain a variety of construction equipment including bulldozers, dump trucks, tipper trucks, articulated trucks, cranes, telehandlers, wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, power generators, compressors, tower lights, water pumps, and other general small equipment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic in the construction industry.
• Previous experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
• Certification or training in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in operating workshop equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and welding machines.
• Experience working on a variety of mobile equipment brands including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, Volvo, MAN, TATA, Sinotruk, Manitou, Atlas Copco, and Wacker Neuson (or similar).
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
