Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI) (Pride) is the leading Microfinance Deposit Taking Institution in Uganda with 37 networked branches and 7 contact offices countrywide, an equal opportunity employer regulated by Bank of Uganda under the MDI Act, 2003. Pride is looking for a dynamic & energetic individual to fill the position of Human Capital Manager Learning and Growth. The Human Capital Manager Learning and Growth will report to the Head Human Capital Management. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing learning and growth strategies and plans in line with Pride employee training and growth strategy.
Specific Responsibilities: -
• Develop and implement a training curriculum in line with Pride’s training strategy and policy.
• Develop and implement an appropriate and efficient employee learning and development strategy
• Take lead in the process of training needs assessment and design interviews to address the identified gaps.
• Champion the evaluation and assessments of Return on Investment (ROI) for all training programs implemented.
• Develop and monitor the implementation of the approved annual corporate training and development calendar, plan and budget which enhance cost effective solutions for Pride in line with the Human Capital development, work plan and business strategy.
• Develop and maintain a well-equipped Resource Centre to enhance Knowledge Management at Pride (sharing, storage and retrieval).
• Organize, implement and track the employee coaching and mentoring program of Prides staff.
• Design and implement a robust succession planning program which enhances successor readiness.
• Develop and implement a fully-fledged Training Academy which promotes a systematic acquisition of the critical skills, knowledge and abilities that enhance performance and achievement of institutional and business aspirations in line with Pride’s resourcing needs.
• Develop and implement talent management strategies to enhance talent readiness and retention.
Person Specifications:
• Should have experience in instructional design as well as Minimum academic qualifications and experience: designing e-learning courses and managing the e-learning
• Must have PGDHRM / PGDE or related field. platforms preferably in a banking sector.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Degree in Education/
• Should be mature, intelligent, diligent, customer centric, HRM/BBA/Management Science/Social collaborative, adaptable with strong leadership, work ethics, Sciences/SWASA/Development Studies/Adult and and able to work under pressure to meet set deadlines. Community Education/industrial psychology or in any other relevant / related field.
• Should be a strategic thinker with a high degree of cultural sensitivity, innovativeness, creativity and business acumen.
• At least 4 years’ proven experience in a similar role or related position in a busy environment.
• Should have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Should have awareness of the regulatory compliance
• Added advantage requirements for continuous learning in the financial industry.
• •Master’s degree in related field.
• Should have high levels of technological proficiency with Membership of the Human Resource Managers Association good data analytical competence.
• Should be proficient with Project Management of Uganda
• Certificate in Training of Trainers attained from a methodology recognized institution.
• Should not be more than 45 years of age.
