JOB DETAILS:
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:-
Plan and coordinates the implementation of the Human Resource strategies, processes and procedures that will attract, develop, motivate and retain the required human resources to implement the Bank’s business plan while maximizing efficiency, productivity and effectiveness.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:-
• Prepares manpower forecasts in line with the Bank’s business strategy and develop and implement an appropriate recruitment plan.
• Facilitates recruitment process, induction and placement of new employees.
• Facilitates job rotations and transfer of staff.
• Prepare and control the approved HR operations budget.
• Identifies the training needs and develop a training plan, carry out training as per the plan and evaluates the training.
• Designs and implements development process.
• Implements the Performance Management System (PMS) by coordinating performance appraisal process and ensuring timely submission of reports.
• Ensures proper Industrial Relations and staff welfare.
• Ensures safe custody of all HR Records.
• Design and implement a payroll management system for the Bank.
• Manages career and succession plans for key resource people and key positions.
• Responsible for staff promotion process of the Bank.
• Manages the retention strategy.
• Facilitates exit interviews and record keeping of proceedings.
• Facilitates the preparation of Job Descriptions, ensure that job roles are defined, and organizational structures are in place & constantly updated.
• Handles the Administrative role of the Bank.
• Inculcates a shared mindset and foster employee loyalty to the Bank’s values.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
• Effective HR policies introduced and implemented
• Low numbers of employee conflicts
• Increased input of Human Resources towards attainment of Bank’s objectives
• Increased profitability of the Bank

INTERNAL:
• Board HR and Administration
• All employees of the Bank
EXTERNAL:
• Labour offices
• Service providers e.g. AAR, HR Consultants
• NSSF
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
• University Degree preferably in Human Resource Management
• Masters Degree or Post graduate Diploma in HR field
Experience:
• 5 years experience working in a busy / commercial HR environment, 3 of which at management level
Skills and Knowledge:
• Leadership and motivational ability
• Analytical power and problem solving ability
• Team working and team leadership skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidentiality
• Knowledge of labour laws
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
