JOB DETAILS:
JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
To Plan and implement HR policies and programmes for effective service delivery
PRICIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
1. Manages and Develops SACCO Human Resources
1. Develop and implement HR initiatives and systems
2. Create and implement effective onboarding plans
3. Develop training and development programs
4. Implement staff performance management processes
5. Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
6. Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
2. Implement HR Policies & programmes
1. Follow up on medical insurance and counseling policies and procedures
2. Implementing and updating Human Resource Management information
3. Review employment and implement staff welfare programs
4. Facilitate the completion of Oath of Secrecy
5. Conduct background checks with respective institutions
6. Provide secretariat support to Board meetings
7. Prepare correspondences and reports on Committees
8. Prepare monthly and quarterly activity and progress reports
9. Implement Management disciplinary decisions
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
1. Honors Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Management Science, Public Administration, Social Sciences (Social Works and Social Administration), Development Studies and Business Administration with a bias in Human Resource from a recognized University /Institution.
Desirable
1. PGD in HRM, Management, Certificate in Human Resource
2. Training in Data Analytics
3. Experience in HR Practice, Management or Administration
4. Knowledge of Labour Laws, HR best practices
5. Credentials (e.g. Certification in CIPD or related qualification) is added advantage
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Experience
1. Minimum of 2 years proven experience in related position with a reputable organization

6. Knowledge of an HRMS is a plus

1. Proficiency in MS Office Suite

7. An effective communicator, strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
8. Good command of the English Language
