JOB DETAILS:
In 1995, Epicentre created a permanent research centre in Uganda to support MSF projects in the region. The primary role of Epicentre in Mbarara is to conduct clinical research following Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements on critical public health burdens in Uganda and Africa. To reach this objective, Epicentre collaborates closely with the Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). A full-time experienced research team is based at the Epicentre Mbarara Research Centre. The Mbarara Research Centre is located in Mbarara Municipality, 300 Km South- West to Kampala.
MSF/EPICENTRE IS RECRUITING IN MBARARA
POSITION: Human Resource and Finance Assistant
Location: MSF/Epicentre Mbarara Research Centre in (EMRC), Uganda.
Reports to: Admin and Finance Manager
Duration: Six (06) months renewable.

General responsibilities (not exhaustive)
• Execute administrative and legal related tasks, under supervision of the Administrator and Finance Manager, checking payroll calculations and updating personalities in order to ensure accuracy, compliance and on time payments.
• Enter data into the HR database and personal files and keep them up-todate in order to facilitate HR processes management.
• Draw up monthly pay slips for all staff, editing and updating the necessary data, in order to ensure the punctuality and accuracy of staff payroll.
• Carry-out all accounting tasks and activities in order to ensure strict control of all expenditures and the reliability of statements and documentation.
• File the accounting documents and enter the accounting pieces in the accounting software, with the support from the Administration and Finance Manager and/ or the Resources Manager.

Education: Desirable Finance, Business or Administration related diploma

Experience: Essential previous working experience of at least two years in relevant jobs.
Desirable experience in MSF or other NGOs in developing countries.
Languages: Mission language and local language essential

Knowledge: Essential computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook), Homere and Saga softwares.
