Job Summary: The ICT Trainer will support and train youth and communities on Information and Communication Technology in order to empower the youth and communities with employability skills in Moroto and other communities within the Karamoja sub-region..

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the effective functioning of WPDI’s ICT infrastructure, including servers, computer hardware, printers, scanners, routers, firewalls, switches, data backup systems, WiFi networks, telephone systems, computer operating systems, application software, and other ICT resources as applicable;
• Overseeing WPDI ICT trainings in Moroto by ensuring that all trainings provided in our CLCs follow WPDI guidelines and curriculum.
• Conducting regular ICT trainings in basic, intermediate and advance level at WPDI CLC in Moroto for youth and community members;
• Conducting tailored ICT trainings at the Center for children;
• Conducting tailored ICT trainings for the WPDI youth leadership program using the Trainer of Trainees model;
• Ensuring that the WPDI curriculum used for ICT trainings is updated and relevant to local contexts;
• Mobilizing community members for ICT trainings at WPDI CLC in Moroto;
• Maintaining record and attendance list of the number of visitors and people trained in ICT at WPDI CLC in Moroto;
• Monitoring WPDI’s ICT system and network security to protect against unauthorized intrusion, and maintaining a virus- and spam-free ICT environment and firewall;
• Maintaining the local area network and WiFi network at WPDI’s Office(s) in Moroto, troubleshooting any network issues, and monitoring network performance;
• Investigating new technologies and applications potentially relevant to WPDI’s program(s) in Moroto and assisting the implementation of such technologies and applications as necessary;
• Creating and maintaining electronic files of WPDI program participants and activities;
• Providing support for the management of WPDI CLC in Moroto by designing appropriate guidelines and ensuring they are fully implemented;
• Managing WPDI Cinema for Peace program at the CLC and within the communities;
• Contributing to WPDI’s Moroto office progress reports and social media inputs;
• Creating and maintaining an interactive platform to promote active involvement of WPDI program participants in Moroto;
• Such other services as the parties hereto may agree to from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant must hold a University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Computer-related courses suitable for the work of the organization.
• At least 4 to 5 years of progressively responsible relevant experience with preferably professional and field-based experience in Computer technology.
• Language: Excellent written and spoken English, Ngakarimojong, Pokot and Leb Thur
