JOB DETAILS:
Summary:
The IT Support Specialist for the Tracking System is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and accuracy of the police tracking and monitoring system. This includes maintaining GPS-based tracking software, troubleshooting issues, and supporting field officers with real-time location data.

Key Responsibilities:
• System Monitoring & Maintenance: Ensure 24/7 functionality of tracking systems and location-based services.
• Technical Support: Assist law enforcement personnel with system-related issues, including GPS malfunctions and data inaccuracies.
• Data Accuracy & Security: Ensure location data is reliable, updated, and protected from unauthorized access.
• Software & Hardware Support: Maintain GPS devices, tracking software, and connectivity infrastructure.
• Incident Management: Quickly respond to system failures, escalating critical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
• User Training: Train officers on the correct usage of tracking systems and troubleshooting basic issues.
• Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on system usage, performance, and compliance with operational protocols.
• Equipment supports and maintenance: PC workstations, Videowall.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT support or tracking system management.
• Knowledge of GPS tracking software and location-based systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in law enforcement or emergency response IT support is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure in a mission-critical environment.\ Reporting Line: Reports to the IT Supervisor.
