JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Officer
Organization: Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC)
Duty Station: Uganda Catholic Secretariat (UCS) Contract Duration: 2023 to 2025

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and update the organization's website, ensuring its functionality and security.
2. Manage the organization's social media platforms, including content creation and management, and regular posting of updates.
3. Develop and maintain effective internal and external communications, including email, newsletters, and other media. Provide technical support for ICT systems and equipment, including hardware, software, and telecommunication systems.
4. Ensure data protection and security of all ICT systems and equipment.
5. Develop and implement ICT policies, procedures, and best practices.
6. Train staff on the use of ICT systems and equipment, including website and social media management.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Proven experience in web design and development, social media management, and ICT support.
3. Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website design and development.
4. Knowledge of data protection and security.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC), the legal body of Catholic Bishops of Uganda with funding from CONRAD is implementing a project on Livelihood and Inclusive microfinance project to be implemented among 1800 vulnerable women and youth through Caritas Uganda department in the diocese of Kabale and Kasese. UEC would like to fill the following positions with quality and highly motivated candidates able to work with a dynamic project team at the Uganda Catholic Secretariat.
