CARE International in Uganda seeks highly motivated and qualified development professionals with genuine commitment to gender equality and women and girls‘ rights to fill up the position of Accounts Manager - Finance Department and Initiative Manager Socioeconomic Status Development in charge of the Digital Sub wallets for Increasing Financial empowerment for Women initiative program, based at CARE head Office.

Job Summary:
The Initiative Manager is a key member of the WAYFIP team that is responsible for provision of technical leadership as related to key elements of the program Theory of Changel Domains of Change two that focuses on “Women & youth meaningfully engage in decision-making processes at household & community on issues pertaining to their livelihoods & well-being" whilst also specifically managing and supervising overall implementation of the Women Sub wallet project mentioned above. The assigned management and technical support function reflects a core focus of the program on gender transformation across all its initiatives. This position is particularly responsible for spearheading the testing of approaches and innovations for broader application within WAYFIP and amongst other CARE Uganda programs. S/he will ensure effective, gender-transformative programing and initiative delivery to reach the most vulnerable women and their families as well as quality assurance through adherence to the fostered gender mainstreaming standards. S/he will provide technical support to program technical staff to ensure technical issues and challenges are effectively addressed and met
