JOB DETAILS:

Kyebando Cooperative Society Limited based in Kampala Uganda wishes to recruit an experienced and qualified individual for the position of Internal Auditor. The Internal Auditor will report to the General Manager administratively but functionally report to the Board.

Job Responsibilities:
• The Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Internal controls, evaluation risks, Information security, regulatory compliance, preparation of audit reports and performance of all internal audit duties and responsibilities in the society. Independently assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control, risk management and governance systems and processes created by the support functions and provide assurance on these systems and processes.
• Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
• Maintain open communication with management and the Board (audit committee)
• Conduct follow up audits to monitor management's interventions.
• Protect against Fraud and theft of organization's Assets.
• Provide adhoc advice to employees regarding issues found and how to remediate them.
• Prepare and present reports that reflect the Audit results and document process.
• Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding society rules, best practices tools, techniques and performance standards.

Job Qualifications:
• Proven working experience as an Internal Auditor about 5 years
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Accounting software and Databases
• High Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Business monitoring skills; Audit (Internal), Risk Management and Risk Analysis and Compliance.
• Required Education Degree in Accounting (BCOM/BBA Accounting) from a recognized University, CPA certification will be an added advantage.
