KIBOGA DISTRICT LOCAL GOVERNMENT

INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITIES FOR KAMBUGU SEED SECONDARY SCHOOL IN KIBOGA DISTRICT

Procurement Reference Number: MoES-KIB/UGIFT/WRKS/2024-25/00001

1. The Government of Uganda has received a loan from the World Bank to fund the Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfer (UgIFT) Program for Construction of Seed Secondary Schools and Expansion of Existing ones in selected Sub Counties in Uganda.

2. Kiboga District Local Government invites sealed bids for the provision of the above works.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic bidding method contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003.

4. This procurement is reserved for Local and Resident Providers; Foreign Providers are not eligible to participate as per PPDA Guidelines on Reservations Schemes to promote Local Content in Public Procurement 2018.

5. Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Entity and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at No.10 from 9:00am to 5:00pm during official working days.

6. Bidders MUST visit the sites and obtain Site Visit Certificates to familiarize with the terrain and other conditions of the specified sites.

7. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to The Procurement and Disposal Unit of Kiboga District Local Government and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only) effective 24th December, 2024.

8. Bids must be delivered to Procurement and Disposal Unit of Kiboga District Local Government not later than 20th January, 2025 at 11:00am. Late bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the Kiboga District Local Government premises at 10:30am.

9. All bids must be accompanied by Original Bid Security as follows;
   The Original Bid security will be in form of a Bank Guarantee obtained from a reputable commercial bank subject to verification and late bids shall be rejected.

10. Address for inspection, issuance, and delivery of documents:
    The Procurement & Disposal Unit of Kiboga District Local Government.
