The opportunity:
As a member of the Assurance team, you'll make a technical contribution to audit engagements by focusing on auditing tax areas. You'll actively establish internal and external relationships and identify and escalate potential business opportunities for Ernst & Young on existing engagements. With a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, you'll escalate issues as appropriate. You'll ensure that the work delivered to clients is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

Key roles will include:
• Develop an understanding of the audit client’s business
• Interact with clients to collect data/information, set-up and maintain tax audit working papers.
• Support the planning, execution and delivery of the tax aspects of the audit engagements
• Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific tax audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives, client's engagement history, and planned audit approach
• Recognize and communicate potential tax issues or unusual relationships from basic analysis of the financial statements

Requirements:
• First Class or Second Class-Upper Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a Business-related field, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or Law.
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Tax will be an added advantage.
• Full or part professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or other recognised qualification) is an added advantage.
• Experience in accounting for or auditing tax affairs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other languages are an added advantage).
• Proficient computer skills and analytics.
• High level of integrity.
