Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
Reports to : Managing Director.
Duty Station :Kampala Head office

Job Summary: The Chief Finance Officer provides strategic direction and leadership in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls and financial reporting to achieve outstanding business performance, efficiency and growth.

Specific responsibilities:
• Manage and coach the departments of sales, business development, finance and administration.
• Analyze the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and propose strategic direction basing on internal data, the external environment and industry specific challenges and opportunities.
• Provide expert financial advice on market expansion, product development and capital investments.
• Responsible for overall planning, forecasting and preparation of annual budgets.
• Monitor and ensure full compliance with statutory obligations; including but not limited to taxation, business laws and regulations and industry related compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the appraisal of all new business proposals, projects, and partnerships.
• Promote a result based performance management system; manage, coach and support business units of Finance, Sales & marketing and Business Development

Minimum requirements:
B. Com (Accounting option) or related field, Master's Degree in Business Administration is desirable; At least 8 years' experience in financial management in a reputable organization with a minimum of five years in a senior management position; Knowledge of the seed or related field is an added advantage; Previous experience stimulating companies to new growth levels; Experienced leading teams and effectively implementing result oriented management systems; Strategic planning and execution skills; Budgeting, planning, administrative and organizing skills; High degree of integrity; Advanced Excel skills and good grasp of applied technologies.

Production Manager (2 positions)
Reports to : Chief Production Officer
Duty Station :Production Plant - Nalweyo, Kakumiro.

Job summary: Develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient and timely achievement of production targets with the objective to meet the company's strategic goals within stipulated budgets and timelines.

Specific responsibilities:
• Develop a production plan on yearly and seasonal basis in line with the company objectives and fulfill production targets.
• Coordinate and assure smooth execution of all seed growing/ production and processing sections, including seed farm, seed growers, parent seed, input stores, logistics as well the seed processing.
• Assure compliance in line with local and regional seed laws, ISTA regulation, HACCP and ISO based production systems, as well occupational health and safety and labour regulations.
• Develop the departmental work plans and budget in liaison with section managers.
• Manage procurement of inputs and the logistics in-flow and out- flow of products.
• Manage, coach and support section managers, develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all team members, coach and monitor progress during the performance period and evaluate team performance.

Minimum Requirements:
BSC. Agriculture, Agriculture Economics, Engineering or related degree. At least 5 years' experience in a management role; Experience in Agro-industry is an added advantage; Innovative and adaptable; Excellent organizing, supervisory and team building skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficient in the use of MS Word & MS Excel (pivot tables/Queries/Data entry and processing) and PowerPoint.
