JOB DETAILS:
The Junior Technical Advisor will be in charge of: Contribute on Resilience strengthening by improving the sustainable use and management of Natural resources in the Karamoja region (cross-border Uganda-Kenya) by i agro-pastoralists and pastoralists. Support the pianning and implementation of activities that contribute to a cross-border and a holistic Rangeland and Water Management Concept on sustainable use of natural resources for the ISAD Karamoja Cluster in line with existing development plans, the Transhumance Corridor Development Plan, the Transhumance Protocol by ISAD and under consideration and integrating of existing traditional structures in place. Support and learn about the M&E structures and project planning (e.g., milestones, indicators, time frame, impact matrix, result-based monitoring, evaluation, reporting structure) relevant for the project management structure (e.g. operational project plan annual workplans, M&E plan) and support report writing and monitoring of activities, including of tessons learnt and best practices by considering gender, age, and diversity.

The Junior Technical Advisor performs the following tasks:
• Support the planning and carrying out of a stakeholder analysis and the start cooperation with local NGOs international development partners, IGAD and district local government as well as other relevant stakeholders on objective related topics.
• Support the research and analyse of data and reports availability on possible management options or policies in place for Water and RL management in the Karamoja region for mobile Pastoralists, agro pastoralists, also related to Climate Change, Droughts and other shocks, wildlife corridors, human mobility, potential for tourism or other business, other users and for future development considering the unstable security situation and other
• challenges in this area. 1. Assisting in the establishment of a cross-border Steering
• Committee in line with IGAD interests in cooperation with IGAD-CBDFU. Support the monitoring and evaluation activities and contribute to reporting including of lessons learnt and best practice.
• Providing support in the preparation of reports, project
• proposals, communication materials and workshops, and webinars as needed.

• Support the coordination with the Prime Minister's Office district local governments, GAD institutions, development partners, research organisations, and other relevant actors in your field of activities.
• Other Duties/Additional Tasks .. Performs other duties and tasks at the request of i management.

Required qualifications, competencies, and experience Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in community development, NR management, economics or/and M&E, and project management. Professional experience
• At least 2 years of professional experience in the implementation of Resilience strengthening or community development and/or capacity development programming, more years of such professional experience is an added advantage.
• Ability to network, build and maintain professional relationships within a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Ability to analyze technical information from different disciplines in the areas of NR+ Water resource management, resilience, tourism, human-wildlife conflict, Pastoralism, among others.
• Good oral and written English language skills.
• Knowledge of the local language would be an asset.
• Good communication, organization, and presentation skills.
• Other knowledge, additional competences.
• Good organizational and administrative competence
• Highly motivated to work in a multicultural and inter-disciplinary team.
• Good working knowledge of ITC and computer i applications (e.g., MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Highly motivated to learn from advanced colleagues on the job during project implementation. Willingness to travel to project sites within Karamoja and to cross-border area of Kenya.
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed
