Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor specializing in Water Irrigation Projects to join our team. As the Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate surveying data and support to ensure the successful implementation of our water irrigation projects. Your expertise in land surveying and knowledge of water irrigation systems will contribute to the project's overall success.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct land surveys and measurements to establish precise boundaries, contours, and features of land areas for water irrigation projects.
• Utilize surveying equipment, including GPS, total stations, and digital levels, to collect accurate field data.
• Prepare survey plans, maps, and digital models using computer-aided design (CAD) and geographic information system (GIS) software.
• Assist in the preparation and review of project design plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate implementation.
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and architects to provide surveying input and support during the project planning and design phases.
• Conduct topographic surveys, including the collection and analysis of elevation data, to facilitate the design and construction of water irrigation systems.
• Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Monitor and verify the accuracy of construction layout and assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of survey data, field notes, and reports.
• Communicate and coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and government agencies, to address survey-related matters.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field.
• Registration with the Surveyors' Registration Board or a relevant professional body in the country (registration in another country shall be considered an added advantage).
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in land surveying.
• Must have completed at least one similar water irrigation project (500-2000 hectares).

Skills and Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge of land surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and digital levels.
• Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) and geographic information system (GIS) software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and analyze survey data.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in surveying measurements and calculations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage surveying tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of relevant surveying regulations, standards, and practices.
• Understanding of water irrigation systems and their requirements for accurate land surveying.
• Proficient in using surveying software and technologies to enhance surveying processes.
