Job Summary
The Land Surveyor will be responsible for conducting a variety of surveys, collecting, and analyzing data, and preparing accurate and detailed reports. You will also work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist and support the Chief Surveyor with the field works and in drafting survey notes and drawings.
• Analyse drawings and survey calculations in accordance with the design requirements
• Perform basic engineering calculations relating to survey activities.
• Actively monitor the quality control of surveys, mapping, and monuments/surveys beacons preservation
• Conduct topographic and cadastral surveys for design, construction built quality control, and decision making.
• Set out all infrastructure elements, concrete structures drainage earthworks pavement layers, etc in line with the final approved engineering project designs and generate reports of the daily works executed.
• Maintain logs, reports, and records in relevant databases for all the setting out and survey data.
• Ensure compliance with established procedures and guidelines in the company and survey activities.
• Use Auto CAD Civil 3D to perform data transfer computation and drafting of survey drawings and field data.
• Experience in setting up, operating, verifying, and calibrating all types of survey equipment, including GNSS receiver robotic total station and digital level.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Surveyor.
Qualifications and Skills Required.
• Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Land Surveyor, with a strong focus on construction projects.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining surveying equipment.
• Proficiency in using surveying software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant programs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and accuracy-driven.
