Job Description
To drive the framework, oversight and monitoring of the control environment within the Business. The incumbent will work as an internal consultant to the business, to manage the Bank’s assets through effective risk management and control systems with an aim to mitigate risk in transactions and the underlying processes, in partnership with other assurance functions. To Support the delivery of an independent assurance on the effectiveness of controls across the business.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• First degree in Business, Accounting, Banking or Finance-related field.
• Professional Accounting or Internal Control Qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience:
• 3 to 4 years Control experience in banking operations and able to understand complex operation in the financial service sector
• Experience in bank processes, products and systems. Experience in dealing with different stakeholders at different levels both internal and external.
• Sound experience in the gathering, analysis and reporting of information through the use of the required digital forensic tools, in order to conduct digital forensic investigations and therefore identify digitally related crime.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Manager Internal control with establishing the “First Line of Defence” for the controls applied to the processes in-country through a walk-through check on controls.
• Undertake checks in Operations in accordance with the agreed schedule, to ensure that procedures and controls are maintained within prescribed and acceptable parameters.
• Improve functionality of the control processes by playing a full end to end role (identification, testing, reporting and implementation of initiatives).
