JOB DETAILS:
Airswift Consulting Uganda SMC Limited is a leading Technical Consultancy, currently looking for a Lead Civil Engineer to join their team in Kampala, Uganda.
Airswift now invites applications from persons interested in developing their career with a dynamic results-oriented company to occupy the position of Lead Civil Engineer.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Kampala, Uganda.

Job Description:
• Participates in discussions determining basic operating policies, devising ways of reaching program objectives in the most economical manner and of meeting unusual conditions affecting work progress.
• Develop Technical standards and Specifications to be used on a global level by the discipline.
• Perform Technical Peer reviews on other projects or assist as Subject Matter expert on complex Civil/
• Structural issues Check and approve material requisitions, calculations, specifications and other technical documentation prepared by the team.
• Develop engineering plan, CTP’s, man-hour estimates and track team productivity Prepare Basis of Design and Mechanical
• Design Criteria for the project
• Develop Construction Scope of Work
• Review and Issue Technical Queries

  Technical Requirements:
• University Masters Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 15+ years relevant discipline experience including supervisory, project management and/or technical experience.
• Extensive years Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Approve Key Decision Change Notices and manage any project change
• Participate in design reviews
• PVN and change management for Major project or discipline Check and approve engineering plan, CTR’s, man-hour estimates and track team productivity.
• Check and Approve Structural Design Criteria, Basis of Design, Specifications, Scope of Works for Small to Major projects Develop HVE Work Packages
• Review and Approve Cost Estimates for project proposals
