Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 15 years’ experience in petroleum & gas industry in projects, managing projects effectively at all life- cycle stages of project development (FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning) for the oil and gas exploration-production industry, both offshore and onshore.
• Significant experience of more than 15 years in Piping, valves, pressure vessels and layout development discipline in Oil & Gas Industry.
Activities
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review the PVV disciplines engineering and construction documents prepared by the contractor.
• Monitor the progress of the work performed by the contractor.
• Ensure that all construction risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible by the contractor.
• Control of the contractor field engineering activities.
• Ensure the quality assurance record books are properly documented, maintained by the contractor.
• Review and approve the PVV discipline deviations requests
• Assess any requests by the contractor to deviate from quality control procedures or requirements and make appropriate recommendation to the Piping Valves Engineer/construction Lead.
• Keep regular and good quality communication with his/her counterpart(s) on Contractor’s side and put in place technical meetings to follow up progress, explain main comments, and provide guidance etc...
• Liaise with the Welding Engineer, Corrosion Engineer as required.
• Participate to the Procurement technical package preparation and to assist Procurement disciplines during all the purchase phases.
• Provide assistance to Package engineers with review of possible change orders & planning constraints
• Report on any problem encountered in his discipline to the Engineering Manager. Prepare the daily report in his discipline.
• Involve the safety aspects of the engineering and report any anomalies noticed on site, when related to his/her discipline.
• Comply with HSE requirements and to support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives.
