About Nsamizi TISD-UNHCR Project:
Nsamizi is an Implementing Partner (IP) for UNHCR that positively contributes towards improving sustainable living standards of refugees and other persons of Concern, through; Provision of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Livelihoods and Environment & Energy services in refugee and hosting populations. With funding from UNHCR, Nsamizi Training Institute of Social Development, is to carryout recruitment of staff to work on its UNHCR funded project in Kyangwali refugee settlement. Nsamizi is looking for a mature, qualified and experienced person for the following position:

Nsamizi is looking for qualified and experienced persons for the following positions:

Livelihoods Assistant (No 1)
Place of
Assignment: Oruchinga
Reports to:
Field Extension Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:
• To identify and train beneficiaries in livelihood programs as per the project work plan
• To undertake monthly household farm visits along with community based extension workers, provide basic advisory services to beneficiaries & report progress on adoption of promoted practices technologies to the supervisor
• To confer (discuss) to the Field Extension Coordinator issues and concerns of the project, persons of concern and others beneficial to the project
• To prepare monthly activity work plans for review & monthly accomplishment reports for submission to the Field Extension Coordinator
• To plan, coordinate programs of the project with the incentive workers and refugee leaders
• To attend the staff meetings in a weekly basis for work plan discussion & evaluation and updates
• Actively participate in internal coordination meeting to ensure internal coordination with livelihoods team and other sectors
• Actively participate in intemel coordination meeting to ensure internal coordination with livelihoods team and other sectors
• To perform any other duties assigned by the Field Extension Coordinator from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience
• The ideal candidate must hold a minimum of a Diplome in General Agriculture, Business Administration, Agribusiness and any other related course
• Other trainings relevant to the position for instance, FFS, Value chain development Nutrition, project management, farmer's Institutional development, Life skills, Climate Smart Agriculture and among others is an added advantage
• At least three years of working experience in the implementation of both development and Human farian projects including; - Livelihoods, Agriculture development Emergency Food Aid, Nutrition, Food security and Micro-finance (VSLA) being integrated in all projects
