JOB DETAILS:
War Child Holland (WCH) is an independent and impartial international non-governmental organization investing in a peaceful future for children and young people affected by armed conflict. WCH works in 14 Countries in the World to improve the resilience and well-being of children, delivering vital Child Protection, Education and Psychosocial Support interventions. War Child Holland has been operating in Uganda since 2004 in West Nile and South Western Uganda.
War Child is looking for a strong willed, passionate and a quick to learn person for an internship opportunity below;
Title: Logistics Intern - (1 Position in Kampala)
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Stipend: 300,000 Ugx net per month
Reports to: Procurement Officer
Contract Duration: 3 months only
The Logistics Intern shall support in all logistical and administration task for War Child programmes and operational activities.

Major Roles and Responsibilities;
• Proper recording, filing and updating of WCH contracts including; Housing for office/expats, service providers etc.
• Daily reception management of WCH Kampala Office.
• Management of WCH Kampala stock and supplies.
• Assist in arranging daily transportation of Kampala and visiting staff movements
• Assist in compiling of fuel consumption report
• Ensure all motor cars and bikes have sufficient fuel tops at all times.
• Assist in the procurement of goods and services.

Qualifications, Skills and Competence required;
• MUST have completed University/Higher Diploma not more than 2 years ago.
• Degree or Higher Diploma in Logistics Management, Business Administration and any other relevant skills.
• Good communication skills, service oriented and a pro-active attitude
• Technical knowledge and (basic) technical knowledge on cars. IT knowledge is preferred.
• Efficient and conscious of time.
• Affinity with children and young people
• Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure with diverse teams from all backgrounds and level.
