JOB DETAILS:
Job summary:
The logistics manager shall offer support in tracking and facilitating movement of consignment from the point of origin to destination. The support rendered shall involve documentation, process, and regulatory support. The job holder shall occasionally manage customer relations.

Key Roles and responsibilities
The logistics manager shall offer support in tracking and facilitating movement of consignment from the point of origin to destination. The support rendered shall involve documentation, process, and regulatory support. The job holder shall occasionally manage customer relations.
Qualifications and experience
• Working technical knowledge of OCTG products and connections.
• Successful completion of the Company’s ‘VAM School’ training & ongoing competence certification from VAM® Field Services
• Computer literate, as will be required to use e-mail, excel & word to compile, produce, monitor and interpret operational data and reports.
• Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge, understanding and application of Company QHSE Policies and Procedures.
• Reliable, able to work unsupervised, or co-operatively, within the production team, across the whole organisation, and with external customers.
• Possess the ability to supervise effectively, prioritise and co-ordinate multiple tasks, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
• Must demonstrate a flexible approach to operational requirements in order to meet business objectives.
• Able to operate, ensuring the proper use and care of, company plant and equipment, machinery, personal equipment, and tool kit.
• Must demonstrate a flexible and innovative approach to problem solving.

Mandatory Requirements.
Experience and Education

• A relevant degree in any of the following fields, Business Administration, Supplies and Procurement and Logistics Management
• 3 – 5 years of work experience in Logistics Management
• Experience with International logistics, importing into Uganda (PVOC, Customs clearance)
• Experience with trucking and sequencing.
Added Advantage.
• Possession of Certifications in Logistics Management and proven experience shall be an added advantage
• Proficiency in Ms Applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel


Work Hours: 8


Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education:
Bachelor Degree
