JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose:
To ensure timely collection, entry, processing, documentation and dissemination of all data and information relevant to the scheme project; reporting, coordinating and delivering targeted M&E technical assistance to the scheme team in addition to being the overall lead in all traceability aspects

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Training and coaching of team members regarding M&E:

• Providing training and capacity-building to the team on relevant M&E tools
• Supporting and coaching the scheme team in their day-to-day data collection using online tools i.e. trackvia, TASQ and any other recommended company online applications.
• To provide support and expertise to all scheme staff during internal inspection data collection.

Processing of and reporting on collected data:

• Ensure data collection, data quality and data analysis processes and protocols are in place.
• Collecting weekly reports from all team members and updating the GMS, Quarterly KPI report and Narrative reports.
• Ensuring the quality and security of the data which is being collected
• Assist in compilation of quarterly reports and ensuring timely submission
• Facilitation of company learning
• Assist in conducting and documenting of project learning reviews, and sharing lessons learned and best practices.
• Assist in identifying, documenting, storing, and sharing lessons learned that have implications for refinement of best programmatic practice.
Team meetings:
• Attending and participating in the weekly team meeting and spontaneous team meetings throughout the week

Overall responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of relevant scheme databases
• Work with scheme manager and staff to track progress on action points related to implementation and M&E activities.
• Check delivery against set targets to ensure good staff efficiencies.
• Verification of quality of agronomy trainings carried out by staff using the monitoring tool.
• Scheme lead on all traceability aspects

Qualifications, skills and competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in M&E, statistics, computer science or a related field
• At least 2 years’ experience in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on M&E results so that lessons can be learned and incorporated into programming
• Proven technical skills in monitoring and evaluation, including experience with multi-sectorial and multi-donor funded programs and experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
• Excellent data management and data analysis skills, with solid skills in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated ability to coach and train others in M&E methodologies
• Previous experience with GIS mapping would be an asset
• Experience in implementation of different certification standards is an added advantage.
• Experience in working with organizations providing agricultural services is a plus
• Knowledge of Rukonzo for Rwenzori is a plus
• Strong report writing skills
• Being collaborative, proactive, ethical, transparent, responsible, flexible and open.
