About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client, Uganda Batteries Limited (UBL) we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced Machine Operator to work in Uganda.

Job Summary:
To operate machinery and equipment used in production of products while observing safety and efficiency standards set to meet UBL’s product and production quality targets.


Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate the production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately according to specifications
• Troubleshoot, perform preventive and autonomous maintenance on assigned machines through carrying pre operation checks before start
• Carry out pre operation checks before start of production from shift over to control production of defects online
• Recalibrate machines at the end of each shift, check oil and report any leakages in the

Machinery
• Monitor and check that equipment capacity meets the production schedule and targets
• Maintain a clean workstation and equipment and sanitized according to cleaning schedule and targets
• Document production and quality records as required by the standard operating procedures.
• Maintain and update daily activity logs
• Execute implementation of kaizen and 5s activities on the production floor
• Utilization of the raw materials as per the set guidelines and monitor stock levels
• Perform minor adjustments and routine maintenance as per the operational manual
• Comply with the company health and safety standards

Qualifications, skills & Experience:
Mandatory Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in related industry.
• Certificate/ diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a related course
