JOB DETAILS:
Key Result Areas:
• Work with the Chief Finance Officer to manage risk and formulate internal controls that supports the company in achieving its objectives i.e governance and compliance.
• Work with the Chief Finance Officer to ensure profit growth by driving performance and participating in strategy development and validation, implementation and evaluation
• Work with the Chief Finance Officer to ensure the Finance department is adaptive and changes as the organization and its needs change not remain static
• Work with the Chief Finance Officer to be a finance and accounting leader by ensuring that the Finance department is proactive in running business and serve as a role model for other departments in areas of transparency, quality and ethics.
• Work with the Chief Finance Officer to create an environment where employees and stakeholders understand the organizational visions and aspiration.
• Work with the Chief Finance officer to ensure that there is value for money in all activities.
• Create financial statements for internal and external company requirements
• Support auditing projects
• Assist the company in managing its investment portfolio
• Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimize risk
• Perform any other duties in line with your duties as may be assigned by your supervisors.

Competencies:
• International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) accreditation (essential)
• Cost Accounting work experience (essential).
• Sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Solid cost systems background.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills

Education and Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor of Commerce or related field.
