JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
Ensure that the Bank’s need to provide adequate controls over the risks encountered in the pre and post credit granting stage of the credit process are satisfied by verifying key documents and maintaining tight control over approved running facilities, warehouse & inventory inspection, and monitoring key stakeholders in line with approved parameters.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide adequate controls for the risks encountered in the post-credit granting stage of the credit process.
• Develop robust credit operational risk management capabilities to address the risks encountered in the post-credit granting stage of the credit process.
• Participate in development and review of product papers, processes and procedures for trade products monitored under CMU based on a practical standpoint of transactional, and operational dynamics on a need basis.
• Drive effective people management & administration practices through performance contracting and monitoring, learning & development as well as coaching & mentoring.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
• University Degree-Economics, commerce, statistics, and any business-related field.
Other Qualifications:
Certification/accreditation in credit, risk,
Experience:
5 years Credit Risk Management:
• In-depth understanding of the features, requirements, and operations dynamics of all Bank’s products. At least two years of banking operations experience with good understanding of Bank guidelines, procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, diligence & composure in a fast-paced environment with good understanding of rigour/risk management techniques. Extensive experience with an excellent track record of managing a dynamic team in an empowered environment
