ADD International in partnership with the Gulu Disabled Peoples Union, Source of the Nile Union of Persons with Albinism, and Uganda National Action on Physical Disabilities has received a grant from the Big Lottery Fund to implement the Sustainable Livelihoods for People with Disabilities project in Jinja, Kampala, Omoro and Wakiso districts for a period of 24 months.
The partners are therefore recruiting staff with relevant qualifications for the following post:
Manager, Programme Implementation
Location: ADD internationals office in Kampala (60%) with frequent travel to project areas and outside Uganda (40%). Contract duration is three years with a high chance of renewal.
The Programme implementation Manager is a member of ADD Internationals Senior Management Team whose role is to lead the implementation of high quality, effective programmes, ensuring coherence across all projects in line with the country strategy, ADD lnternational's global theory of change, and donor contracts. in addition, he/she will serve as focal person on child and vulnerable adult safeguarding within the Uganda programme.
The qualifications and experience for this post include a degree in humanities, social sciences, community or development studies and relevant post-graduate qualification from a recognised university/ institute, a minimum of five years‘ experience, at least three of which in a manager/co-coordinator role in public service a national or international Non-Governmental Organisation with duties related to capacity building, livelihoods, HIV, promoting rights for vulnerable populations and line management. For persons with disabilities, equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience will be considered.
