REPORTS TO: Head of Business Technology

Job Purpose
• The Job holder will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and support of FinTech Applications (Wendi wallet system and peripheral eco-system).

• They will also ensure creation and execution of the continuous service improvement program and performance management across platforms and manage, develop, and grow an efficient and functional team of FinTech applications IT operations officers.

Key Responsibilities /Key Deliverables
• Oversee the IT support of Fintech Applications and eco-system within PostBank Uganda
• Create and execute the Continuous Service Improvement program and performance management across these platforms.
• Review and optimize business continuity strategies, service reporting, service measurement and service level management for FinTech Applications.
• Work with Mobile Banking and other Departments to translate their requirements into a technology blueprint together with Digitization team, to enable the business to achieve their strategic objectives.
• Ensure FinTech compliance with documentation and alignment to IT Service Management principles.
• Assist in a long-term FinTech applications strategy, including introduction of new systems, planning of upgrades and optimization.
• Ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Drive the deployment of new FinTech applications; systems sofware; products and / or enhancements to existing applications.
• Manage and liaise with service providers/vendors within the FinTech Applications Space.
• Manage Quality Assurance for FinTech Applications

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Required
• Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, Sofware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, and any other related fields.
• Certification in an IT related course (ITIL, COBIT, Oracle certifications etc) is of added advantage.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the IT department in a busy organization.
• Experience in wallet /mobile money applications
• Advanced knowledge in Unix/Linux operating systems
• In depth experience in SQL, and DBMs (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• In depth experience in Windows Operating systems
• Ability to trouble shoot and solve user problems.
• Scripting knowledge
• Ability to understand business needs.
• Versatile individual with a good attitude.
• Desire to continuously learn from peers and industry.
• Proactive and good at problem solving
