JOB DETAILS:
Reports to: Senior Manager - Project Support Office
Main Job Functions:
• Overall reporting on project progress and performance against budget for assigned projects.
• Active participation in Preparation of MTNU Annual CAPEX budget.
• Implement and manage the CAPEX SteerCom process and Capex governance processes for project and program portfolio management.
• Ensure value-based capital allocation (VBCA)processes are adhered to as well as compliance to the CPM toolkit for assigned projects.
• Continuous improvement and implementation of best practice processes for project governance.
• Ensure completed projects are closed and capitalized timeously in line with the Capex Governance processes.
• Support Project Managers to ensure compliance with MTNU Governance toolkit for the assigned projects.
• Engages with all key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and reporting.
• Ensure project creation in the system immediately after Capex spend approval is granted.
• Manage project office communication media-website (SharePoint), communication strategy.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the document repository management for all projects.
• Provide input and deliver dashboard report for Capex Steercom
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Economics, Accounting, or related field
• Project management training and or certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
• 3-5 years in a telecommunications environment
• Exposure in a business planning and budgeting environment
• Exposure to projects planning and execution in Facilities, Products, and services.
• Demonstrable capacity for multi-tasking; excellent understanding of activity timing and impact assessment
• Good knowledge of report writing and presentation
• Hands-on approach to work
