JOB DETAILS:
Our client, a leading Commercial Bank operating in Uganda seeks to recruit competent banking professionals in managerial positions.
Job Title: Manager-System Risk Management
Reports to Head of Risk Management
Main Purpose of the Job:
• Security, that is, the ability to identify and adequately manage increasingly complex and widespread technology-related risks;
• Availability and performance of systems, given the bank's critical dependence on technology to initiate, record, move and manage transactions; and
• Compliance with increasing regulatory requirements for controls, such as the Bank of Uganda risk management guidelines and ensuring system and ICT security. .

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform weekly and monthly system and network security assessments.
• Conduct IT security assessment for new IT business applications and IT infrastructure prolects.
• Assistinthereview,enhancementandimplementation of the Bank‘s Business Continuity (with Compliance function) and IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) Plan quarterly.
• Conducting IT performance reviews for new IT business applications and IT infrastructure systems being deployed.
• Develop and implement an IT Risk Management Strategy and Framework, basing the IT Risk Management Strategy on COBIT and/or RISK-IT.
• Creation of relevant IT baselines for every IT aspect. i.e. workstations, servers, databases, network devices, etc.

Key Requirements:
• An honors Degree in Computer Science/Studies with a professional qualification in CISA from a reputable institutions.
• At least five years’ working experience in IT risk management, IT audit or IT security management.
• Familiarity with service delivery culture and support function including change management.
