JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
a) Increasing management staff effectiveness by participating in recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining Management Staff; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions and providing educational opportunities.
b) Ensuring a quality loan portfolio and putting in place strategies to sustain efficient credit management so that the SACCO realizes financial self-sufficiency. c) Developing strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
d) Accomplishing subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
e) Coordinating efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.
f) Building company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; in brief, enforcing ethical business practices.
g) Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
h) Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
i) Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
j) Ensure safety of movable and immovable assets of the SACCO.
k) Ensure proper processing of all accounting transactions, posting and maintaining all the SACCO's books of accounts is up to date all the time.
I) Ensure the preparation of accurate financial statements on timely basis and submission of timely monthly management reports.
m) Carry out general administration including supervision, directing and appraising the performance of all the staff.
n) Inception and development of business ideas for growth and overseeing their implementation o) Represent Management Staff on the Board Committee and its respective committees.
p) Attending to any other matters as may from time to time be delegated by the Board/Committee
Qualification: 25-35 years
• Bachelor's Degree of Business Administration (Accounting),Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or Bachelors of Science in Accounting.
• Not less than 4 years' experience in a reputable & active SACCO with at least 2 years at a managerial level
• Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-tasking.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Good entrepreneurial skills.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and handle uncertainty.
• Proficient in word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Proven ability to negotiate.
The ability to self-motivate and motivate a team.
