Summary
The Market & Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that reduce Credit and Market Risk. He/She will be responsible for the oversight and management of FUL’s Interest Rate Risk, Currency/Foreign Exchange Risk, Liquidity Risk and Credit risk.
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Establishing controls in the management of foreign exchange risks in consultation with Treasury/Finance, including putting in place forex transaction limits to control exposures arising from the Forex trading
2. In consultations with Treasury/Finance, Credit and Head of Risk Management, establishing internal liquidity, credit, interest rate and foreign exchange management limits and performing monthly stress tests.
3. Identifying critical liquidity, credit, foreign exchange and interest rate risk triggers and sharing periodic reports with management.
4. Regularly monitoring depositor concentration limits to ensure they are within the approved limits.
5. Regularly monitoring and reporting on the regulatory ratios (lending ratios, Liquid Assets/Total Assets ratio, NPA and any others as defined by the regulator)
6. Supporting Treasury/Finance in improving and implementing policies and procedures through review of the relevant policies and procedures and recommending the best industry practices.
7. Spearheading initiatives for development of methodologies for measurement of Credit Portfolio Management across FUL including Portfolio at Risk.
8. Developing and enhancing the credit reporting & monitoring framework which meets the requirements of various external & internal stakeholders and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of credit risk reports.
9. Assisting the Head of Risk Management in carrying out the responsibilities pertaining to Board Risk Committee which includes preparation of the information pack and responding to data/ analytical requests from the committee.
10. Supporting the Head of Risk Management & Head of Credit in enhancement and reviewing of FUL’s credit policies & standards in order to ensure that these reflect the best practice and regulate the risk assets of FUL.
11. Contributing to system implementation projects in the credit risk space (e.g stress testing,Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), Credit Management System) by providing requirements and design inputs, particularly with regard to credit risk recognition and measurement
12. Monitoring and evaluating compliance with the credit risk management framework of FUL and generate periodic reports in line with credit risk management policy and procedures.
13. Educating both existing and new staff about all aspects of credit risk pertaining to their specific roles through case studies, forums and trainings.
14. Reviewing the Risk and Control Self Assessments for lending departments and Finance
15. Following up on internal, external audit Issues and risk assessment recommendations for business departments, Finance, Legal and Credit

Qualifications and Experience
A Business degree in Risk, finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or any other relevant field.
Possession of a Certified risk management qualification, CPA or ACCA or master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
A minimum of 5 years in a financial sector with at least 3 of it being in the Credit Risk Management domain and 1 year in Market risk.
