JOB DETAILS: Responsible for supporting the development and attainment of HR strategy by facilitating and enabling fast and effective execution of HR transactional tasks in collaboration with Line Managers and the entire HR Team. The job holder manages the general operational aspects of the HR function in partnership with Business partners in delivering a comprehensive and efficient HR Service delivery to the business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Payroll Management: Prepares/processes the payroll both in the manual and Human Resources Management Information system (HRMIS) and ensures that all statutory requirements are obliged with.
• HR Records Management: Responsible for all employee related data and ensuring that employee information is always updated both in the HRMIS and personal files and manages both their access and retrieval. Ensure efficient management of the central database system.
• Managing contracts: Engages, monitor and manage all HR outsourced contractors for services through HR such as Insurance, medical cover, welfare, consultancy etc. to ensure that such are in compliance to SLA and UGAFODE policies and procedures.
• HR Administration: In charge of managing the administration of employee leave, benefits, welfare by compiling, verifying and approval as well as filing and tracking in line with set institutional standards and procedures.
• Staff Advances: Processes all staff loans and advances against budget and in compliance with other internal borrowing procedures, recommends them for approval/ decline and updates the same with the pay roll to ensure full compliance and management of recovery.
• HR Business Partnering: Serve as the HR Business Partner for HR related service advisory for (Risk, Compliance, Legal, HR and MD Secretary) support functions.
• Separation Management: Manage the administrative aspects of the staff separation process arising out of staff or bank decision in line with HR policy.
• HR Letters: In charge of processing and issuance of all HR correspondences due to employees; timely, accurately and per standard formats, and ensures effective filing and centralized management for update and retrieval as per institutional information management procedures.
• HR Reporting: Develop daily/weekly/monthly reports on HR operations activities. Ensure the necessary management information required (HR Analytics) is provided to the business departments as and when needed in enhancing efficiency & accountability
CANDIDATE PROFILE: • Minimum of Bachelor degree in Human Resource, Social Sciences, Psychology or business administration. A post graduate diploma in HRM is desirable.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Human Resource Management in a competitive business environment. HR professional membership and Professional certification (e.g. CIPD SHRM, HRMAU) is desirable. Knowledge of the Uganda Labour laws and familiarity with the International Labour laws Sound knowledge of Banking HR Operations, Proficient in MS Office and Human Resource Management systems (HRMIS).

Digital And Project Coordinator (Hr/Staff/Vac - 6/10.2022/2) job at UGAFODE Microfinance Limited JOB DETAILS: Reporting to the Digital Strategist, the role holder provides operational and strategic support in the implementation of data driven, and customer-centered digital initiatives. The role holder works closely with ICT, Business Growth and Credit departments to ensure timely and successful implementation of all initiatives as scheduled to meet the company's objectives defined in the digital strategy. In addition, s(he) will lead and guide the work of technical staff, serving as the liaison between business and technical aspects of projects, planning project stages and assessing business implications for each stage, and monitoring progress to assure milestones, standards, and cost targets are met.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Development of Digital Transformation Strategy Provides support in the development of the annual digital transformation strategy for UGAFODE (MDI) and implementation thereof.
• Digital Transformation Plan implementation: Support the implementation of digital innovations in compliance to ongoing regulatory, internal governance, policy and process standards across various business functions.
• Conduct Training: Organize and Conduct Trainings for new initiatives to drive internal and external stakeholder adoption.
• Partnership Development: Coordinates day-to-day unit-based partnership development strategies and activities related to driving digital initiatives.
• Periodical reporting: Support the Digital Strategist to prepare and provide periodical reports and updates on running projects, partnerships and digital initiatives.
• Closing Audit queries: support the digital strategist to review reports from Audit/regulator/compliance and to ensure that timely follow-ups and closure of issues raised in Audit are done.
• Project Management: Responsible for identifying, Monitoring and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.
CANDIDATE PROFILE: • Must be a tech savvy and agile individual.
• A Bachelor's degree preferably in a business related field. e.g. B.Com, BBA, B.A. Economics.
• Knowledge of IT and IT application design will be of added advantage.
• Experience in product design for financial institutions.
• Experience in the use of social media tools for digital marketing to drive brand communication, customer engagement and lead generation.
• At least two to three years' experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience in driving change management activities, managing transformation projects from start to finish, gathering user requirements, rolling out prototypes and performing iterations.
• Valuable experience with process refinements and project management skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Business Growth strategies through product development: Initiating strategies aimed at maximizing value from customers through developing (designing or redesigning) company products to drive savings and Asset value proposition for UGAFODE (MDI) Ltd.
• Embedding Business Research & Development: Conduct Research among institution's competitors on products, services or pricing so as to identify new leads and potential new markets; ascertaining value proposition as well as understudying marketing initiatives aimed at pitching UGAFODE above competition.
• Business Reporting: Providing timely and accurate business reports including identification and mapping business strengths, business intelligence and customer needs so as to analyze/profile service standards and income trends for UGAFODE (MDI) Ltd in line with internal processes, best practices and Annual operating plan.
• Conducting sales: Grow new client relationships to drive savings and other liabilities through Preparation of presentations and sales displays, contacting clients to inform them about new developments in UGAFODE's products, developing quotations and proposals as well as developing sales and service standards for the institution.
• Marketing and branding: Discussing promotional strategy and activities with the marketing and sales department and ensuring adherence to service processes and standards in line with UGAFODE (MDI) structures.
• Service lines: Drive and manage existing and acquisition of new branch networks for the institution to support in the business growth and development of channels of service for company's products in line with compliance and risk perspectives.
• Foster customer service standards across the institution: Embed a culture of excellent customer service for the institution through development of service standards, implementation, evaluation and reporting in line with compliance, risk and best practice perspectives.
• Team Leadership: Take full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports, focusing on all aspects of sound people management e.g. Recruitment, Development, Performance Management, Remuneration and Rewards, Career path planning, Onthe-job training, coaching & mentoring and Employee engagement etc.
CANDIDATE PROFILE: • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Business management Administration, Marketing, Economics or any other equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Business Development and Product Development. .
